Birthday Boy!

This has got to be the sweetest face I have seen! My Uncle, he is currently in a nursing home. His Birthday was Friday. I took him shopping and out to eat. He is a prize. You will not meet many people with a heart like his. He is so helpful to everyone. He turned 75 years old last week. God surely blessed our family with Dickie's presence in our lives. He believes in the Lord and says the blessing at each meal. I am proud to know he is a big part of my family. Hope you had a Happy Birthday Dickie, I love you!

Ross

These pictures were taken just a few days after the accident, before the surgery.

This summer has been so exciting. Lots of things going on with the family. I have to many to mention and I also have to watch what I write as some people like to read my blog and pick things out and make a big deal about it to others. I am so glad they find my life so interesting but it makes me leary about sharing everything now. My Ross, or my Golden Child as some call him, had a terrible accident behind a boat a few weeks back. He was on a kneeboard behind a boat and was up in the air trying to turn around and missed the rope. It slipped up on his arm and pulled the muscle on the top of his left arm apart. Yes, literally cut the muscle. The doctor called it "severed". Like a knife but the bar on the rope did it. We took him to the ER and they put a cast on it, told us to see a orthopedic doctor within a week. He got a MRI on Tuesday and as soon as the results were in they wanted to put him in the hospital to take a look because they were amazed at what they saw. They told us he was the only person they had seen with a muscle cut like that. Anyway, he made it through the surgery fine and went today to get the stitches out. He has some infection in the wound but everything else looks O.K. The doctor thinks within six months he should be as close to normal as he will get with that arm. He has a long road of healing but has a great start. I'm thankful he still has an arm. Thank YOU LORD that he is on the road to recovery.

Changes

Me, about to swing from a rope.

Friends, we rode boats and jet skis to the dock to come to this place.

This has been an exciting summer. I tried to swing from a rope into the river. I did manage to grab the rope and swing and hit the water face first;( It really hurt my pride. I was not very graceful. I will not try that again. 23 people rode "up river" to a restaurant. It was a great ride, they have docks to tie your boat to.They did manage to seat all of us on the same table. It was an exciting day for me. A storm came and we had to ride back in rough water and lots of rain. We should have followed Hayden and his crew into the cove and hide! It was a wonderful day to spend with friends. We had lots of people joined us camping this summer. It has been very busy. We have made many new friends. This has been one of the best summers ever.
I still have my new additions to the family (boyfriend, girlfriend thing). They have really been an added blessing to my family. I am thankful for the family God has given me. HE has a plan for our lives. Many changes have happened to us in just a short period of time, we have many new changes coming our way. He says to shake the dust from my feet and move on. God is so good. He tells me in Jer 29:11 "For I have plans for you".... I can feel it....

Sumertime!

WOW! It truly feels like forever since I have been to blogland! It has been a busy summer. School is starting back and I don't have anyone to start this year. I really feel relieved. I don't have to buy SCHOOL CLOTHES.
Trips to the river have been very good this year but just not enough of them. My devotions there have not been as popular as before. It is harder to get unchurched people to my spot this year. My largest crowd last year was 19. This year six people was the largest number. If HE can reach one through me I will be happy. I will not give up. "Satan has come to steal, kill and destroy". I see it happening every day.

The Montgomery Mission Trip went well. We had lots more adults than ever before. They seemed to be curious that we keep coming back year after year. I was blessed more than words could ever say. I want to share some pictures.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope all of you are having a great summer!

I have missed blogging this summer! Just wanted to share some pictures of my family with you. I have been very busy this summer. The LORD has been so very good to me. Ross and Anna both have friends! I mean like kind of, sort of, serious friends. This is Anna's first boyfriend and I really am impressed with him. Ross/Hilary and Anna/Matt have changed my family lifestyle this summer and I can honestly say for the best. We have been in our our own little shell for so long it was really a nice change for us. So, we have grown from four to six of us! I am still new to this change but am liking it more as each day passes. I miss my babies but I am also enjoying my adults. When I see my children happy, it makes me happy. When someone hurts them , it hurts me. I am learning to lift up my wings and let them try using theirs. Can you believe it??? I really am......

Thank YOU LORD for my family! God is so awesome! Lovin' HIM more everyday.
